Workshops delivered to your door

Or special workshops on our site for your group only

New Dawn Earth Center's deep ecology workshop facilitators now offer "Work that Reconnects" workshops. The work invites us to connect more deeply with self, world, and Earth, to regroup and reclaim the passion for justice, love of Earth and each other that rejuvenates our work in the healing of the world.

Karina Lutz and Jim Tull are conducting the workshops around Rhode Island. One location is the Spirit Log tipi in Exeter, RI, a place next to Arcadia state park participants have called a "perfect venue" and "lovely setting." The land hosts forest, yard, garden, tipi, house with restrooms, kitchen, and interior space for inclement weather and 6-10 bed spaces (depending on coupling) for weekend workshops. Camping is possible, too, with large tents, the tipi or pitch-your-own. One workshop enjoyed the beautiful Yoga Yurt at Bee in Harmony (in North Scituate).

We are also willing to bring the workshop to you: your environmental organization, congregation, or any group that is eager to explore deep ecology, and reconnect with a broader, ecological sense of self. Your venue or a rented venue near your center of gravity may be best for you.

Deep ecology is the experiential wisdom of our interconnection with earth and the world, and a set of psycho-social and spiritual exercises to help us face our anger, fear, emptiness, and deep sadness about the state of the world. We plumb these depths for their own sake and wisdom and to reclaim and nurture the love, courage, passion, and clarity underneath them. Scientists who know the data, public servants and activists facing frustration and burnout, and anyone who cares about the state of the world and is seeking their role in its healing and transformation find this workshop rejuvenating and empowering. The Work that Reconnects inspires, helps prevent burnout, and renews us in turn, allowing us to move back into the world as co-healers.

It's something you can't learn except by experiencing it, but the best description may be found at http://workthatreconnects.org.
